A Momentary Cure for ADD....Anything Japanese
First off, I love anything Japanese, except for a dish called natto (which is fermented soy beans). That being true, it's only right I share work that has inspired my film.
Personally, I love when two opposing elements don't fit together but a similarity is found, or a relationship is established. For instance, Takashi Murakami and Louis Vuitton an elderly person carrying a balloon floating house or prostitutes and pimps characterized as breakfast cereal boxes. You can see where this is headed....
I've followed Murakami's work since viewing his Superflat show in design school. His use of bright colors, graphic elements, and a twisted sense of playfulness intentionally found their way into my film Pimps and O's. I feel his work is the ultimate momentary cure for ADD. Immersing you up close, while keeping it simple from afar.
So enjoy these two anime pieces for LV out of Murakami's outfit, directed by Mamoru Hosoda.
Cheers!

Working on the plane..

I have weird work habits. I prefer to work early early in the morning.I'm more motivated when there's less time. And lastly the environments that bring me comfort are just random.
I flew to NY and Philly to go see the awesome Roots Picnic. I wouldn't recommend flying Virgin America long distances to a person over 5'8. The flight was too long, too cramped, but perfect for me to to do a tiny bit of work.
Here is a rough sketch of a football stadium for a shot in Special O's commercials in the film, all of which will be in 2D. Check it!!
